The protagonist gets drunk and falls unconscious, but he learns that Kikuchi had carried him home. Kikuchi confesses to the protagonist that he has been in love ever since the protagonist spoke to him when he was feeling upset. Despite conscious efforts to avoid Kikuchi, the protagonist eventually gives into his feelings for him.
