Hyun Joo finds out that her father, Jin Tae, did not pressure her late mother to receive surgery. She feels guilty for having thought so and for blaming him all along. He tells her that the reason why her mother decided to receive surgery was so that there would be hope for Hyun Joo if she were to suffer from the same illness.
