Maria João meets Siegfried again and gets involved with him, but she has a purpose: to find out when a shipment of gold arrives in Portugal. Maria João and Rose collaborate with Richard in the mission to intercept the shipment. A diplomatic crisis begins between Portugal and England, with the betrayal of the oldest ally.
