After attending a wet, cheerful "farmer-looking-for-women-party", the so-called bull ball, Ekki Talkötter stands at night on an open country road next to Michael Klarmann when suddenly shots are fired. Ekki is injured and Michael Klarmann is fatally hit by a second bullet. From then on, Ekki believes that he was actually targeting him - as a tax investigator you have enough enemies.
