The co-presenter of Channel 4’s daytime quiz show Countdown was surprised by Michael at London’s Fortune Theatre.
Countdown's main presenter Richard Whiteley was among those greeting Carol - who became well known for her mathematical skills - as well as lyricist Sir Tim Rice and comedian Ken Dodd.
