[Först När Givaren är Död] Just before the Medieval Week in Visby, a suspicious arson occurs, which is followed by several murders. The tracks lead Maria Wern and her police colleagues to a summer cottage area where everyone knows everyone. A document with Latin texts and difficult-to-interpret drawings appears to be related to the murders. And soon Maria Wern realizes that another murder is planned.
