When Gervaise removes some sacred greenstone from the river, Constance becomes worried about breaking a 'tapu'. Daniel and Fergus try to frighten Gervaise into returning the greenstone, while Constance goes in search of Tamihana, an elusive Maori elder. But will Tamihana help?
