Marc-Alexandre is hesitant to see Nadira again; he confides in Benoit. Yannick and Josée are preparing for the opening of their restaurant. Karine is going to Montreal for a student conference.

Geneviève surprises Marc-Alexandre in Montreal, who welcomes her coldly. Yannick gets used to his new life as a single father. Benoit modifies his literary project to make it a novel about polyamory.

In the middle of the night, Marc-Alexandre's world crumbles. Geneviève is horribly hurt by the truth. Josée is livid and incredulous. Benoit has Marc-Alexandre read a chapter of his book, who finds in it many similarities with his own life.

At the hospital, the two families find themselves at Marc-Alexandre's bedside, between life and death. Josée and Geneviève stare at each other. Nadira also shows up at the hospital to see 'her' Marco. Benoit learns after everyone else about his friend's accident.
