Teo was born Mateo Justis Briones in Oxford, England while his parents were on tour. His father is the Filipino actor/singer Jon Jon Briones and his mother is an American actress/singer. His sister Isa Briones is also an actress/singer. He moved to Los Angeles at the age of 3 and began acting and modeling at 5. He is a blue belt in Karate and studies XMA, gymnastics, ballet, hip hop, tap and enjoys horseback riding and playing the drums.
