Keanu Charles Reeves, whose first name means "cool breeze over the mountains" in Hawaiian first appeared on the silver screen in a Canadian film Youngblood (1986). He then headed to Hollywood where he caught critics' attention in River's Edge (1986). His first popular success was as Ted 'Theodore' Logan in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989).
