Julie Andrews (born Julia Elizabeth Wells) is noted for her crystalline four-octave voice, as well as her charm and skill as an actress in a career spanning over seven decades. In 1957 she appeared on American television in a musical version of Cinderella. In 1964 she was Mary Poppins, in 1965 she was Maria in The Sound of Music and Victoria Grant in the 1982 film Victor/Victoria. She has also lent her voice to the Shrek franchise, the Despicable Me franchise and voices gossip columnist Lady Whistledown in the hit Netflix romance series Bridgerton.
