Marquand and Max intervene at Sergeant Foucault's home just before an explosion occurs. The two policemen escaped unharmed but the soldier was killed instantly. Alice finds herself in a very delicate situation. His life and that of his son are threatened. Marquand decides to personally ensure the protection of the judge. Soon after, the two return to question Lieutenant Torrens.
