Ashok Sundari prays for Mahadev's well being. Mahadev drinks all the poison to save the deities and the demons. Parvati stops the poison from getting beneath Mahadev's neck. Lord Brahma entitles Mahadev as Neelkanth. By churning the Ksheersagar, The deities and the demons obtain Kamadhenu, Uchchaihshravas, Airavat, Kalpavriksha, Rambha etc.
