Manuel discovers the whole truth about his job at the funeral home. The press officer overhears Javiera, Matilde, Pili, and Coke talking about his work and what they hid from him. Indignant, he demands an explanation, and his friends reveal that Jaime got him the job and that their salaries are also paid by the businessman. Manuel asks to be left alone, and Javiera follows him to apologize. The press officer claims it's not her fault and asks her to calm down. Later, Jaime is discussing some decisions with Tito and Alessandra when Manuel enters and asks to speak to him privately. During the conversation, Jaime clarifies that he only wanted to help him, as he considers him family and doesn't want to see him as another failure. Devastated, Manuel leaves the office saying he never wants to see him again.
