Leading the race for the Hartmann Fibre Trophy - the BBC Radio Manchester champion - Barry Lockwood with his winning distance of 140.74 metres. Can any of tonight's challengers beat that? Problem-solving teams from: The National Westminster Bank; St Marys Medical School and Robert Morton (DG) Ltd are given just two hours to design and build a mechanical device, a jumping flea to clear a cube.
