The documentary meets claimants living on the breadline in Yorkshire. They include 45-year-old Alex, who dreams of making it as a DJ and has just blown thousands of pounds on record decks, and Geordie couple Michelle and Thomas, who are now living in Leeds, where they are pushing for their children to have a better future. Plus, a Whitby man who says the sickness benefit he receives is only enough to feed his partner and baby daughter five days out of every seven.
