This trip across Myanmar begins in Yangon, the capital, where the two travellers look up in awe at the Shwedagon Paya, a gigantic, golden temple. They visit a school for orphaned children, hitchhike to Kalaw, and start a long walk to reach lake Inle, where there is a rare spectacle: a group of over 200 zedis, scattered across the water.
