One of the heroes of the Civil War, Stalin's ally during the construction of the new armed forces of the USSR in the 1920s and 1930s. People's Commissar for Defense until 1940. People's hero, marshal, legend of the Red Army. His name, along with Budyonny, was actively used for propaganda purposes.
