Geon-wu takes Jin-a with him to meet with Seo-gyeong. Seo-gyeong tells her that she is her birth mother but Jin-a rejects her saying that Se-yeong is her only mother. Jin-a tells them that her only mother is Se-yeong and she doesn’t want to be apart from her. Seo-gyeong becomes dejected after seeing how Jin-a only wants Se -yeong. In one of her clearer moments, Ms. Song tells Gyeong-sun that the lands in Yangpyeong were meant for her. Gyeong-sun asks for her statement saying that in order to reclaim those lands from her son, she needs her help. Se-yeong finds out about Jin-a’s meeting with Seo-gyeong and argues with Geon- wu when she suddenly faints.
