The story of Bernadette Sugrim, who escaped an abusive marriage when her 11-year-old daughter called 911 after being assaulted by her father. The abuse was only one secret that Sugrim hid from the outside world, however: Her husband had confessed of his involvement in past incidents that she shared with the police after they responded to her daughter's call.
