Investigating a fatal accident at the Suncrest House Sanitarium (an institution for addicts), Betty gets back in touch with her friend Peggy, now turned into an alcoholic. Betty poses as an addict and discovers that the ""vitamins"" wealthy patients receive are drugs to make them suffer a relapse.
