In 2009 a Los Angeles police detective examines the cold case file on an attractive nurse, Sherri Rasmussen, who was murdered in her own home in 1986. At the time it looked like a botched burglary, involving two men but a bite mark containing saliva is found on Sherri's arm and reignites the investigation.
