Heli-loggers, Integrated Operations, are deep into their wet winter season on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Intense rain and fog threaten to strand two fallers on the hill. Six hundred kilometers inland, in the Rocky Mountain Trench, the Duz Cho logging crew is at the end of the winter season, racing to get the wood out before the spring thaw turns the block road to mush.
