Fred, acting as 'best man' at a friend's registry office wedding, stumbles on a marriage racket run by an unscrupulous organisation for Asian girls wanting EEC citizenship. She falls for a Dutch boy used by the organisation, and is devestated when the investigation ends in his murder.
