Taylor is surprised to learn that James vanished from the university while on the verge of a breakthrough in genetic research. Taylor tells James she is going to Scotland to talk to his mother about his childhood. Karen is ready to make love to Connor until he admits he is only visiting her because Brooke canceled their plans.
