Nobody likes Pompeu’s decision to join Arinsal: neither his wife, Claudia, nor the rest of the Scipio family – in particular his little daughter Julia. They consider Arinsal a competitor, who will steal their love and money from Pompeu. It is for this reason that Calpurnia and Drusilla secretly decide to kill Arinsal. But after several failed attempts, Pompeu learns of these criminal intentions and intervenes.
