Upon seeing Christophe with Rafael, Édith, struck by the resemblance to a member of her family, guessed that he must be her son. She promises Christophe to keep it a secret on the condition that he finds a way to win Patrick over. Christophe remains firm in his decision to leave Marie-Labrecque.
