Zuleica is shocked when Marcelo reveals that he knows that Guta is his sister. Jove argues with José Lucas because of Juma, and Tibério prevents the brothers from physically attacking each other. Tenório instigates Tadeu to fight with Zé Leôncio and demand from his father his share of the inheritance in oxen, promising the pawn part of the land on his farm. Alcides accuses Tenório of wanting to take advantage of Tadeu. Guta breaks up with Tadeu.
