The Münster-based private investigator and life artist Georg Wilsberg has once again taken on one of the jobs he particularly loves: "Observing adulterous contemporaries", which means that Wilsberg is supposed to shade a client's wife and provide clearly ambiguous photos. What initially appears to be a harmless routine assignment then turns out to be quite a murderous affair, because shortly after Wilsberg has delivered the delicate photos, the body of a young woman is fished out of Lake Aa - the lady whom he had shadowed shortly before .
