Josephina van Gorkum was born in Holland in 1820. Coming from a family of Catholic aristocrats, this young woman in love with freedom, decides to live out her love with a Protestant against and against the laws of the time. Her struggle for the right to be buried next to her husband has become a symbol of unconditional love beyond death and religion.
