In 2017, the threat of EXOFRAMES still grows by the day and countries all over the world remain unable to work out an effective countermeasure. In place of the regular army, private military companies (PMC) and modern mercenaries grow in prominence. When Cerberus Security Services's new recruit, Loewner, does his best to protect civilians during a terrorist raid at an oil terminal in the Middle East, he is confronted with the callous reasoning of a mercenary.
