You may have seen Shogun Assassin, but have you seen the six-part original film series that film came from? Lone Wolf and Cub, based on the hugely popular manga of the same name, is a blood soaked adventure through the Edo period of Japan, following a father and his young son. This video explores how the films use sound, namely silence, in a very un-Hollywood way, and how that affects the audience and how violence is portrayed.
