The year 2417, Galaxity, the capital of Earth. Brilliant student at the Academy Spatio-Temporal, Valerian is assigned his first mission by the intergalactic University of Oxford. He must observe a Norman village in the year 912. Perched on a tree, things escalate when he jumps to the rescue of Laureline , a beautiful damsel in distress. In defiance of the law number 3 of time travel that prohibits changing the past or the future, Valerian saves Laureline from the claws of Tancarville Wilfrid , a cruel local lord. He does not doubt that he is about to change the future of humanity.
