The Twilight Effect kicks off with its first episode where your hosts Ashley Greene and Melanie Howe dive into Twilight, the first movie of the Twilight Saga, introducing the characters, revisiting the iconic makeup and wardrobe (and wigs!), and laying out the budding Bella-Edward love story. Ashley and Melanie also talk about their own “twilight effects,” sharing how the series impacted their personal lives, and are joined by a super fan aka a “twi-hard” for a trivia challenge. On this second episode of The Twilight Effect, Ashley and Mel keep the Twilight rewatch going strong! They cover more fan favorite moments including Bella and Edwards' first date and the moment Bella first says “it." And what's the deal with the red apple on the book cover? Mel and Ashley share their theories. They also discuss stalking ex-boyfriends, the iconic line Robert didn’t want to say, and what it’s like to rewatch the film as an adult. Ashley then answers more of Mel’s burning questions as well as some of your “twi-hard” fan calls.

On this episode, Ashley and Mel wrap up the third installment of their Twilight rewatch, covering the iconic baseball scene, Ashley's Alice audition, and The Prom. Mel asks more burning questions (including the scoop on Kristin and Rob's budding romance!) And Ashley answers more of your fan voicemails.

On this episode, Ashley and Mel welcome their very first guest, Kellan Lutz, aka Emmett Cullen. Catching up with Kellan, we hear about his most important role to date - he's a father! They then discuss Kellan’s journey into the Twilight Saga, how he was cast, his best/worst moments on set, and about his on-screen chemistry with Nikki Reid. They also talk about the best piece of advice they got from Peter Facinelli, how Kellan feels about his own Twilight Effect, and two super fans join the group for a Twi-Hard Trivia Challenge.

On this episode of The Twilight Effect, Ashley and Mel are joined by the one and only “hot dad,” Peter Facinelli, aka Dr. Carlisle Cullen. The girls dive right in with some fan tweets about Carlisle’s “DILF” status and how he almost wasn’t cast because of his youthful appearance. Peter also talks about how he handled the fear of disappointing the fans, how he brought the character to life with his own ideas, and why he was known as a prankster on set. They then team up with two super fans for some Twi-Hard Trivia but not before Peter answers some not-so-rapid fire questions.

On this episode, Ashley and Mel welcome the brilliant visionary who brought the book to life, the one and only, Catherine Hardwicke. The girls jump right into how Catherine created the magic of Twilight, starting with how she brought the original screenplay back to the essence of the book, her search for the perfect cast, and how she kept the integrity of the production. Catherine shares so many fun stories including how she got Rob to record a song, and what she did to build the feeling of unity on set. 

Ashley and Mel are back to recapping! On this episode, they begin breaking down the next movie in the saga, New Moon, covering Bella’s birthday party, the introduction to the Volturi, and The Break Up. They also discuss how Jasper is able to get into Bella’s mind, why Edward had to break up with her in the woods, and wonder “how old is too old?” Lastly, they answer more of your voicemails after some silly rapid fire questions. 

On this episode, Ashley and Mel dive into the second part of the New Moon rewatch, but not before a visit from an old friend: Jackson Rathbone aka Jasper Hale! On this episode of the Twilight Effect, Ashley and Mel and thrilled to welcome the Aro himself, the legendary, Michael Sheen. Michael shares some great stories from his experience shooting the films - from discussing Aro with his daughter prior to accepting the role, how he brought the villain's insanity to life, and where his wild laugh came from. He also recounts some behind-the-scenes memories like playing paddy cake with Ashley during the fight scene, as well as his surprising answer to who he would like to play if he could be recast. And finally, he and Ashley go head to head with another super fan in Twi-Hard Trivia. 

On this episode of The Twilight Effect, Ashley and Mel are joined by their favorite human dad, Billy Burke. Billy talks about his filming experience and why he chose to stay as oblivious as possible to everything that was happening on and off set. He also shares his first awkward encounter with Kristen, his favorite scenes with her, and whether or not he would have liked to have been cast as a vampire. And lastly, Ashley and Billy go head-to-head with another super fan in Twi-Hard Trivia.

On this episode of The Twilight Effect welcomes, for all the “Team Mike” fans out there, Mike Welch. Mike and Ahsley talk about the perfect casting of the high school friend group, why he felt confident in his portrayal of Mike, and how he coined the term “twi-hard.” The two then answer some burning questions from super fans including their first mother-son twi-hard duo.

On this episode of The Twilight Effect Ashley and Mel welcome special twi-hard guest, Claudia Oshry, aka @GirlWithNoJob. Claudia does not hide her fandom and the girls dig into some rapid fire questions and Claudia’s own Twilight Effect. But before all that, Ashley and Mel launch into part of one of their Eclipse rewatch, covering the newborns and the start of the vampire war, the deepening Bella-Edward-Jacob love twi-angle, and Ashley’s vision face. 

On this episode, Ashley and Mel jump back into recapping Eclipse, covering the truth behind Rosalie (including a sneak peek of their soon-to-be released conversation with Nikki Reed), the vampire-wolf alliance and epic training scene, Jasper's backstory, and whether or not the Alice-Jasper kisses were scripted. On this episode, Ashley and Mel welcome BACK the inimitable Jackson Rathbone, aka Jasper Hale, aka Alice's soulmate. Josh and the girls take a stroll down memory lane, recalling their times on the red carpet and some favorite stories. Julia and the girls stroll down memory lane, discussing the whirlwind that it was to be cast in the franchise after it had exploded, and what they wish they could have done differently during their time shooting. Today on The Twilight Effect, Ashley and Mel jump back in time as they welcome to the show the director of New Moon, Chris Weitz. Chris gives great insight into what it was like to come off the heels of Twilight, why he wanted the second film to have its own classical romantic vibe, and how he approached the much-anticipated wolf reveal. Chris shares lots of BTS stories from how he fought to keep Taylor, the benefits and challenges of shooting in Italy, and what it was like being "the new guy" on set.
