Two years after the unexplained discovery of bodies in the Oderbruch region: Maggie and Kai Kring are determined to bring justice to their cause and are relentlessly hunting their own kind. In Norway, they kill a "Great Hunter" of the Strigoi Order. However, they are also the hunted themselves – the suspended investigator Stanislaw Zajak is still on their trail. He wants to prove that vampires are killing undetected all over the world to satisfy their bloodlust! Quito of the Strigoi is also after Maggie, because she is the only hope for the survival of their kind. Maggie is hiding from her brother that she has a daughter who is studying in Spain. In the no-man's-land "Terra Azul," a baby is born to an enslaved servant in a mysterious Strigoi mountain monastery. But this once again dashed the hopes of the ruler Ion, who wants to ensure the survival of the vampires, because the baby is human and therefore useless to the Strigoi. To capture Maggie, Ion's son Quito sets a trap for her: He sends his henchman Delgado to the Krings' next target: the "Great Hunter" Cristóbal, who lives in Spain and kidnaps tourists to obtain fresh blood. Kai is unaware of his sister's true reason for her journey: Maggie wants to see her daughter Vera, at least from afar! To get money, they rob a betting shop.
