The conductor searches for his missing whistle, and each person he questions reminds him of a story.

Mr. Conductor fends of hungry birds and mice as he waits in the park to deliver a cookie to squirrel friends, who are late as usual. He spends the whole time complaining about misbehaving and manners. The Thomas tales are about proper behavior, misbehavior, and learning how to treat others.

Each Letter Sleepless Mr. Conductor writes to his friends reminds him of a "Thomas" episode that deals with mail, keeping in touch with larger issues of Friendship.

A powerful windstorm has left the birds homeless, so Mr. Conductor decides to put on a benefit concert to help them. The birds resist at first, but eventually agree to participate. Along the way, they learn how to act towards others and not to judge just on appearance.

Mr. Conductor has a cold but must keep on counting tickets. But he soon learns that working with a cold is not easy, and he must be patient with himself. This reminds him of several stories about his favorite engines, all having to do with patience.

Mr. Conductor and his dog, Moe, decide to freshen up their house with a coat of paint -- but Mr C. just can't decide what color he likes. Each time he changes colors, it reminds him of another Thomas story. The stories take place with adventures on the island of Sodor and have to do with colors.
