After losing Fern, his first and only love during 9/11, the last thing Non is able to do for Fern is to purchase back the old house that is full of their love and memories. However, the purchase is not as simple as Non believes it would be no matter how much he's paid for it.

Non and Fern run into each other again at the university after many missed opportunities of becoming acquainted. Non studies at the same faculty as Fern. He gets to become closer to her, but he lacks the courage to confess his feelings to her. Kluay suggests that he invite Fern to a concert at Chulalongkorn University, which is known to grant everlasting love to couples who confess their feelings there. Non is initially hesitant but decides to invite Fern. This time he is determined to let his feelings be known.

Confessing his feelings appears to be much easier said than done for Non. Non, Fern, Kluai, Win and Nut are now the best of friends, and Fern's house has become everyone's gathering spot. Even though Non never has the chance to confess his feelings to Fern, she can sense it through his actions.

Win faces a formidable adversity, which is to earn 100,000 baht within a limited time. Nont decides to borrow money from Fern's father to invest in stocks. It is the first time for Nont to set foot into the world of stock trading. Even though it is not an easy feat, Nont has to overcome it in order to help his friend. He also wants to get out of the friend zone before becoming a fully-fledged adult. At his graduation party, Nont is determined not to let his chance to confess his love to Fern pass by.

The 1997 Asian financial crisis hits hard and affects everyone in the workforce. Problems such as unemployment and increased debts stem from the crisis and the four friends and their families have to go through various different hardships, ranging from unemployment to the loss of a friend due to suicide.

Although everyone is out of jobs due to the economical crisis, they are willing to help Fern sell things from her house at the Has-Beens Flea Market. Fern is saddened to have to sell the objects that are of sentimental value to her, but she needs the money to help her father pay off his debt. Nont also has to find a new job as soon as possible to help support his family, causing him to spend less time with Fern. Unbeknownst to him, Fern is heading toward the worst point of her life.

Nont's busy schedule with work takes its toll on his time for Fern. Nont finally sees Fern and learns of her father's passing. Fern is heartbroken that Nont does not even attend the funeral. Ultimately, she ends her relationship with him no matter how much it pains her since her feelings for him is now changed. Everything between them is now beyond repair for Nont.

While Nont attempts to buy back Fern's old house, Fern begins her new life in New York. She comes across Wilson, an American with Thai heritage and is able to secure a job at his company. Wilson becomes Fern only best friend, although it seems that his feelings for her are beyond platonic. Soon their relationship blossoms into something more than friendship.

Fern and Wilson's Arcobaleno Pizza is growing, as well as their relationship. Nont watches Fern's house decay each day, similar to him forcing himself to work hard to pass the time until he falls ill. Seeing the state Nont is in, Nut finally gives in and breaks the promise she gave Fern to not tell anyone they have been in contact with each other. Nut gives Nont Fern's number and he becomes hopeful at the thought of speaking to Fern again.

After the trio of friends drunk their sorrow away until morning at Tui's bar, Nont spots an abandoned building and is reminded of something Fern's father had once told him. He comes up with an idea of starting a free building demolition service. Kluay and Win decide to partner up with him, and the business seemingly has great potential. Wilson proposes to Fern, but she appears to be hesitant. She later decides to visit Wilson in his office in the World Trade Center and gives him her answer. Before Wilson is able to come and meet Fern, she decides to call Nont. The former couple gets to talk to each other once more, and Nont has many things he wants to talk to her about. But before he has the chance to say anything, something unexpected happens.

Miraculously, Fern survives 911, although she is unable to walk and has to be wheelchair-bound. Wilson stays by her side until she regains her ability to walk again. Nont travels to the US to meet Wilson and convince him to sell Fern's house but the latter insists on not selling it because it belongs to the woman he loves. Nont learns that Wilson is Fern's suitor and sadly departs after telling Wilson to keep Fern's house safe. However, one of Wilson's shareholders put the house up for auction without Wilson's knowledge sometime later. Nont is furious that Wilson did not keep his word to protect the house and joins the auction to bid for it.

After a heated argument causing the friends to be out of touch with each other for many years, Nont decides to call Kluay and ask for a meet-up with everyone again. The friends reconcile and Nont still wants to bid for Fern's house. But now, Kluay and Win are ready to help Nont on his mission. Fern makes an appearance at Nut's wedding, much to everyone's surprise. Nont and Fern have a chance to have a heart-to-heart conversation with each other. Fern has to make a choice for the next day whether she is going back with Wilson or staying in Thailand with Nont forever.

Nont decides to gamble everything to enter the auction for Fern's house and compete against Wilson's company, this time with Kluay and Win's help. But there is no chance Nont can go up against Wilson with the money he has. The stock prices in Thailand also reach their lowest in the country's history due to a coup d'etat and Nont loses his money in the blink of an eye. The trio almost loses all their hope in the battle against Wilson. However, the price of the cryptocurrency Nont bought in the past skyrockets, enabling him to enter the race again. And this time, Nont cannot lose because Wilson insists on demolishing Fern's house if the latter emerges as the victor.

Fern flies back to Thailand after Nut asked her to. She meets Nut, Win, Kluay but there is no sign of Nont. Even though her friends are generally cheerful due to nostalgia, Fern knows they are hiding something from her. No one says anything but they take her back to her old house, where the answer to everything awaits her.
