David Licauco, like many celebrities before him, began his journey in the entertainment industry through modeling. His initial foray into modeling happened unexpectedly while he was walking in Boracay. Someone approached him and asked if he wanted to become a model. At the time, David didn’t consider himself particularly handsome, but he decided to give it a shot. Despite facing challenges, including attending numerous go-sees and VTRs (video auditions), he persevered. Eventually, his hard work paid off, and he won 1st runner-up at the Mr. and Ms. Chinatown pageant in 2014. From there, he ventured into showbiz, taking on bit roles before making his Kapuso debut in the 2016 GMA drama series “Sa Piling Ni Nanay.” Destiny and hard work played a role in his journey, proving that success often requires a mix of both.
