An Egyptian actress, born in Cairo in 1976. She studied at the French Lycée school, then began her artistic career in acting while studying English at the Faculty of Arts at Cairo University in the film "Al-Madina" (The City), where she was chosen by director Yousry Nasrallah to participate in the film. Before that, Basma had tried to enter the field of acting through radio and had already appeared in exams for Egyptian radio and television. Basma started her career as a presenter after graduating on Nile Variety Channel from 1998 to 2000. Then director Sherif Arafa chose her after seeing her performance in the film "Al-Nazer" (The Observer), alongside the late actor Alaa Waley El-Din. She then worked in the film "Al-Naama Wal-Taous" (The Ostrich and the Peacock). She returned to work as a presenter again on Dream Channel from 2001 to 2002, and then participated in the lead role of the TV series "Rimal" (Sands) on MBC channel. After quitting hosting programs, she fully dedicated herself to acting, and some of her notable films include "Min Nazret Ain" (From a Glance), "Laylat Saqoot Baghdad" (A Night of the Fall of Baghdad), "Marjan Ahmed Marjan", and "Zay El Naharda" (Like Today).
