Steve and Stef Jackson are swapping careers in construction for a taste of paradise as they trade life in their Loughborough semi for a smallholding in the Central American country of Costa Rica. During a week's trial, Stef's teenage daughter Katia finds out whether the lure of a life in the rainforest proves tempting enough to give up her friends, family and future life at university.
