The body of a pensioner is found in the trunk of a scrap car. Katrin König and Alexander Bukow delve into the milieu of garbage and scrap collectors during their investigation. In the process, they encounter a web of human fates. What initially looks like the murder of a homeless man turns out to be a case of blackmail in connection with illegal hazardous waste disposal at the Rostock landfill. But who is blackmailing whom, and who has a motive to kill an old, penniless pensioner?
