In our longer Dune video, we had to leave out a lot of content for time’s sake. There were a lot of painful cuts, but perhaps the most painful of all was leaving out our thoughts on the setting. Dune happily rides the line between science fiction and fantasy in a way I’ve never seen before. So, I want to take an opportunity to gush.
How does a story so obviously science-fictional still manage to feel so magical?
