When author Franz Kafka died in 1924, he wanted everything he wrote to be burned. But his closest friend Max Brod escaped the Second World War with the documents in his luggage. This is the story of the attempts to track them down. The tracks lead to two women who are like watchdogs: No one should be allowed to access Kafka's remains. The researchers are desperate for the Kafka-like situation.
