A glimpse into the (skating) life of Marijke Groenewoud. She plays a key role in the performances of Team Zaanlander and is the surprise contender in the 1500m at the Olympic Qualification Tournament. Additionally, she competes in the mass start with Irene Schouten. To secure their spots for the Olympic Games, the plan was for Marijke to win the mass start in Salt Lake, ahead of Irene Schouten... But that plan didn't quite pan out. How does Marijke, as a down-to-earth Frisian, handle such setbacks?
