The comedian travels to Portrush, one of Ireland's most northerly points, where battered by big swells and cold arctic winds, he goes swimming with a local swimming club. In Belfast, John discovers a unique taxi tradition in the Falls Road district, while in South Armagh he meets farmer Jas McDonald for an idiosyncratic take on the reality of living on the border. John performs his comedy routine along the way, from a small and cramped gig in Belfast through to the biggest stage in all of Ireland. He completes his journey in Dublin, capital of the Republic.
