Richard Goolden first played the part of Mole in 'Toad of Toad Hall' in 1930. He now lives in mole-like surroundings in Chelsea, where a lifetime's enthusiasm for music-hall, French poetry, interior decorating, famous murders, etc., has piled up around him.
