A relaxed start looks different: Right at her official start at the Rostock Criminal Investigation Department, Inspector Melly Böwe (Lina Beckmann) has to deal with a special case: Elementary school teacher Nathalie Gerber has been murdered, and the only suspect is trans man Daniel Adamek, who doesn't want to come out and consequently turn himself in to the police - even though he's not the real killer at all. Böwe has to get along with her partner in the investigation, Katrin König (Anneke Kim Sarnau), who is still pretty out of it after Sascha Bukow has left for Siberia.
