Jade, lead dancer in a cabaret, is found dead in a rubbish bin behind the night club. The ambitious Naomi, her main rival, is prime suspect. But Marianne also takes a close interest in Prudence, previously employed as a child-minder by the victim before being sacked for obscure reasons.
