At a corporate party in a boarding house, a young woman is strangled. The alleged killer is found dead in a nearby pond, and a bag with a large batch of drugs is found in the victim’s room. The interrogation of witnesses is delayed until late in the evening, and Potapov leaves the bag with prohibited substances in the safe of his office at the police station. The jealous husband becomes the next suspect, but Lucy feels that this is a false trail. She sees a person with two faces, but cannot explain what this means. Opera chuckle at the "witch." Potapov takes the side of Lucy and invites her to use her gift to put the jokers in their place.
