Before Ibuki and Shima are able to track Etori down and arrest him, he is killed by a drone deployed with an explosive device. A post-mortem reveals that Etori was in fact none other than the chief suspect in an unsolved five-year-old murder case. But why did someone want him dead? They later learn that Etori was acting on directives from a mysterious individual, whom Shima identifies as a young IT specialist by the name of Kusumi. It will take the resources of the entire MIU 404 team to crack this perplexing and dangerous case!
